Calibration Updates
The USDA FGIS updates the UGMA Grain Moisture calibrations each May for Small Grains and August for commodities like Corn and Soybeans. Implementing these updates is mandatory for all USDA Official Grading facilities and all facilities using the meters for trade. In two easy steps you can make sure your instrument is up to date. The current calibration update is available below.
The updates are usually made available 3 to 5 days before the implementation date. Be sure to verify which Perten 5200 tester you are using before downloading. There is a calibration update for both the 5200-A and 5200-Farm machines and only work in that specific model. The 5200-A download is in green and the 5200-Farm is in blue.
